Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. The App does not have external servers, analytics services, or advertising networks. No data is transmitted to us or any third party.

All information you enter into BudgetDaily — including accounts, transactions, budgets, and categories — is created and stored entirely on your device.

2. Data Storage

On-Device Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data remains under your control and is protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and device encryption).

Sensitive credentials, such as your app lock PIN, are stored in the iOS Keychain with hardware-backed encryption. Your PIN is hashed using SHA-256 with a unique salt via Apple's CryptoKit — never stored in plain text.

iCloud Sync (Pro — Optional)

If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is synced to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework:

• Stored in your personal iCloud account — not on any server we operate.
• Protected by Apple's iCloud security and encryption standards.
• Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Auto Cloud Backup (Pro — Optional)

BudgetDaily Pro offers automatic cloud backups saved to your iCloud Drive. These backups are accessible only through your Apple account and are governed by Apple's iCloud terms.

Local Backup and Restore

You can create local backup files and restore them later. These files are generated on your device and are only shared or stored where you choose to save them.

3. Budget Sharing

When you share a budget with someone you choose:

• You explicitly select the recipients.
• Shared data is transmitted via Apple's CloudKit framework.
• Recipients receive read-only access to that budget only.
• Your other accounts, transactions, and personal data are never shared.

4. Biometric Data (Face ID / Touch ID)

When you enable app lock, biometric authentication is handled entirely by Apple's Local Authentication framework. BudgetDaily only receives a success or failure response — your biometric data is never accessed, stored, or transmitted by the App. It remains in the device's Secure Enclave.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

Subscription transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.

6. Third-Party Services

BudgetDaily does not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data collection services. The only services used are Apple platform services:

• Apple CloudKit — for optional iCloud Sync and budget sharing.
• Apple iCloud Drive — for optional cloud backup files.
• Apple StoreKit — for subscription management.
• Apple Local Authentication — for biometric app lock.

7. Children's Privacy

BudgetDaily is not directed at children under 13. Since the App collects no data from any user, there is no risk of children's data being gathered.

8. Your Rights

Because your data never leaves your device (or your own iCloud account), you have full control at all times:

• View all your data directly within the App.
• Delete any or all data within the App.
• Create local backup files and restore them later.
• Export your data via CSV export.
• Disable iCloud Sync at any time in Settings.
• Delete all cloud data through your device's iCloud Settings.
• Uninstall the App to remove all on-device data.

9. Security Measures

• iOS Keychain for encrypted storage of sensitive credentials.
• CryptoKit (SHA-256 + salt) for secure PIN hashing.
• Apple's Secure Enclave for biometric authentication processing.
• Apple's iCloud encryption for any data you choose to sync.
• No external network calls — the App does not communicate with any server outside Apple's ecosystem.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
